Expensive decoration stolen from lake dock

Birmingham police are currently investigating a report that someone stole a decoration valued at $2,500 from a dock on Quarton Lake.

On Sunday, September 14, at approximately 1 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Lakepark for a report of larceny. The victim, a 71-year-old male resident, stated that a decoration valued at $2,500 was missing from his dock.

He advised officers that he saw two unknown teenage males driving a boat around Quarton Lake a couple of weeks ago, and at one point, they were on his dock.
