After two friends called it quits, one of the pair allegedly started a fight with the other the night of Saturday, June 13, near the area of S. Old Woodward and E. Merrill Street in Birmingham.

The Birmingham police department reported that one of the men claims the other started harassing him after their friendship ended. On the night of the fight, witnesses said they saw the suspect come up to the victim and shove him, starting a fight between the two.

The suspect argued that he shoved the other man after he had aggressively come up to him and spit on him.

Police reported an investigation is ongoing.
