Family finds cars were searched overnight

A mother and daughter living in the 1200 block of Norfolk Road in Birmingham discovered that both of their cars had been searched through during the overnight hours of Tuesday, August 22, while they were parked at their house.

According to the mother, her daughter parked their cars in front of the house the night before, but she had left the cars unlocked. The next morning, they both were in for a surprise when they saw someone had gotten into the cars and looked through the interior compartments.

Reportedly, nothing was actually taken from the cars. Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
