Farmers Market hosts Harvest Festival Sunday

A community favorite at the Birmingham Farmers Market's – Harvest Festival – is this Sunday, September 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with corn, treats, live music and a petting zoo for festival goers to enjoy.

Visitors are sure to enjoy live music performed by John Patrick Peters, lots of activities to keep the kids busy, including a kids zone, petting zoo and corn shelling, an old fashioned tractor to climb aboard and even get a photo on, and best of all – fresh roasted corn. Enjoy learning the Rore Method fitness activity, food trucks serving loads of goodies, including both sweet treats and savory foods, and more than 50 vendors offering bountiful local produce and lots of other farm fresh goods.

The Birmingham Farmers Market is located in Public Parking Lot 6 at 660 North Old Woodward Avenue. Market hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every Sunday, May through October.

Since 2002, the Birmingham Farmers Market has provided a weekly place for area residents to shop for local agricultural products, fresh foods and other goods, as well as an opportunity to gather for fellowship, entertainment and family-friendly activities, while supporting local vendors and businesses. The Birmingham Farmers Market supports local vendors that provide Michigan-grown and made agricultural and other products, several of which have participated in the market since it's opening.
