Fight outside downtown restaurant in wee hours

A Birmingham police officer on patrol around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, June 5, observed two men punching each other as they were leaving The Morrie Restaurant at 260 N. Old Woodward.

The officer reported he separated the two men, and neither required medical attention.

The individuals reported they were acquaintances and had gotten into an altercation inside the restaurant. They did not want to press changes.

Both men were issued citations for disorderly conduct.
