A roving flower thief uprooted the landscaping at the Bloomfield Township Costco store on Wednesday, August 11, and is being sought by township police.

Police said Costco, 2343 S. Telegraph, was without power at about 5:30 p.m., when a man in a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer stole a flowering plant from the store’s landscape. The man used his own shovel to uproot the plant.

Investigators are reviewing footage from the store’s surveillance cameras. They ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
