Ford exec jailed for domestic assault, arson

Franck Louis-Victor

Bloomfield Township police arrested the CEO of Ford Next LLC and the vice president of New Businesses Platform, Ford Motor Company, Franck Louis-Victor, on Saturday, July 8, for felonious assault, domestic and arson, preparation to burn.

According to police, Louis-Victor, who lives on Vorn Lane in Bloomfield Township, was in an argument with his wife when she called police for a report of domestic assault. She informed officers that during an argument at their home, Louis-Victor threatened to burn two of her purses, valued at approximately $10,000 each, with a lit butane torch.

The victim told police she took the purses away from her husband, and he turned the torch towards her, stating that if he couldn't damage the purses, he would harm her. Louis-Victor then slapped and head-butted his wife and struck her with a Google Hub smart screen, causing a laceration under her left eye which required treatment at a local hospital, according to a police report.

Louis-Victor was interviewed by officers and provided statements which supported his wife's statement. He was then placed under arrest by officers.

The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office reviewed this case and issued a two count warrant for felonious assault, domestic and arson, preparation to burn. Louis-Victor was arraigned at 48th District Court in front of Magistrate Andra Richardson on one count of felonious assault and one count of arson, preparation to burn.

Louis-Victor was issued a $25,000 cash bond. His next court date is Tuesday, July 18, at 8:45 a.m.

According to Ford's website, Louis-Victor is CEO, Ford Next LLC and VP, New Businesses Platform, Ford Motor Company. The Ford Next team incubates and launches vehicle-adjacent business ventures that create value for Ford. “As the automotive ecosystem evolves, Ford Next focuses on ways to offer new, technology-forward customer experiences in various domains such as energy, supply chain, iOT, and distribution,” the website said. Prior to joining Ford in 2021, Louis-Victor oversaw development and implementation of new business models and revenue streams for Groupe Renault as vice president, New Medias and Services Innovation.
