Grocery store trip leads to stolen bike

A man grocery shopping on Saturday, September 21, came out of the Kroger store in the 600 block of E. Maple in Birmingham and discovered his bicycle had been stolen.

A 76-year-old Troy male told Birmingham police he had ridden his bike, worth $300, to the grocery store and came out around 8 p.m. to discover it had been stolen. The victim told officers he was in the store briefly when the bike was taken.

Birmingham police are continuing their investigation of the matter.
