Group hits Dick’s for stolen merchandise

A group of eight males and females hit Dick’s Sporting Goods, 2105 S. Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township, on Sunday, July 19, making off with stolen merchandise from the store.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., the Bloomfield Township Police Department was dispatched to Dick’s Sporting Goods for a retail fraud in progress.
It was reported that a group of eight males and females, 17 to 25 years-old, were running around the store stealing miscellaneous merchandise.
The suspects ran out of the store and fled the area in a white older-model Chevrolet Suburban and a white Chevrolet Blazer. Two stolen clothing items were recovered from the parking lot with a total value of $220.
This case was turned over to the Bloomfield Township Investigations Unit and is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call Bloomfield Township at 248.433.7755.
