Group steals jewelry, clothes from boutique

A group of four men was seen breaking and entering into Via Manzoni Boutique, located at 239 Pierce Street in downtown Birmingham, on Friday, June 7, around 5 a.m.

Birmingham police report that the officers who arrived on scene say the large glass window at the front of the store was shattered. A witness told officers that they saw four black men wearing black clothing and face coverings carrying trash bags to and from the business before taking off in a dark SUV.

According to police, several pieces of designer clothing and jewelry were stolen from the store. No monetary values were provided.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
