Group theft from clothing store investigated

Birmingham police are actively investigating the theft of clothing merchandise from a retail store that reportedly took place on the night of Wednesday, July 23, at a clothing store in the 100 block of S. Old Woodward.
According to an employee of the store, a group of about 5-6 individuals came into the store, took clothes from the racks and went into the dressing rooms. They allegedly came out of the dressing rooms and left the store without paying for the clothes.
Birmingham police reported that a similar incident occurred shortly after in Beverly Hills, with suspects matching the same description.
