Handguns stolen from township vehicle

Two handguns were stolen sometime overnight on Thursday, March 25 or Friday, March 26, from a vehicle parked in the 2800 block of Courville Drive, Bloomfield Township police said.

The victim told officers he parked his 2019 Cadillac in his driveway overnight and discovered two handguns missing from the driver’s side door pocket.

The victim told police he believes the vehicle was locked. Police found no signs of forced entry.

The guns were Smith and Wesson Shield, .40-caliber handguns.

The case is under investigation.
