Home invasion crews back in Oakland County

Several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a home in the 1400 block of Square Lake in Bloomfield Township after suspects broke an exterior door in what officials believe is connected to South American theft groups that have plagued the county.

Bloomfield Township police took a report of the home invasion on Thursday, March 28, and were met with a broken exterior door that led to the bedroom, where the closet was ransacked. Evidence technicians also processed the scene.

Officials said the incident took place between Tuesday, March 26, and Thursday, March 28.

Those with information about the case, which is being investigated by the Bloomfield Township Investigations Unit, are urged to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
