Home invasion while owners out of town

Bloomfield Township police were dispatched on Sunday, March 8, to the 5000 block of Windingwood Drive for a home invasion that occurred while the homeowners were out of town.


Officers arrived on scene and determined that the homeowners had been out of town since the beginning of March. When the homeowners returned home they found the side window to the home pried open and a jewelry box was missing. I


It appeared that other belongings in the residence were rummaged through as well, police said. Evidence technicians processed the residence and the case was turned over to the Bloomfield Township Police Investigations Unit.
