Homeowner reports $5,000 in jewelry missing

A Birmingham homeowner in the 300 block of Bryn Mawr reported that items valued at more than $5,000 were missing from the victim’s home.

Police officers were dispatched on Tuesday, July 30, to take the report. The homeowner said that several pieces of jewelry turned up missing while a cleaning crew was working in the house.

A police investigation is ongoing.
