Identity stolen from Birmingham resident

A Birmingham resident living on Lakeview Avenue reported to the Birmingham police department on Wednesday, September 7, that his information was being used by an unknown suspect to fraudulently obtain unemployment benefits.

The victim was advised by the state of Michigan Unemployment Office to make a police report, which he did, and was also told to closely monitor his credit moving forward.
