In the Park Concert series begins Friday, June 9

The popular In the Park Concert series, held every summer in Shain Park, returns this year on Friday, June 9, before resuming its Wednesday night schedule featuring a full line up of local bands.

The Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition Youth Action Board's Teen Summer Concert will kick off the series on Friday, June 9, at 7 p.m. Following this event, concerts will take place weekly on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. (unless noted) from June 14 – August 16.

The In the Park Concert Series is a free, fun and substance-free concert series. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant outdoor atmosphere and beautiful park setting while listening to performances from local bands playing a wide variety of music genres.

“We have an exciting line-up this season including returning fan favorites and some new bands,” said Birmingham Director of Public Services Scott Zielinski. “Wednesdays July 19 and August 9 will each feature an additional noon concert, so grab some lunch and enjoy the mid-day entertainment in the park.”
