In the Park Concert series begins this Friday
The popular In the Park Concert series, held every summer in Shain Park, returns this year on Friday, June 7, before resuming its Wednesday night schedule featuring a full line up of local bands.
The Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition Youth Action Board's Teen Summer Concert will kick off the series on Friday, June 7, at 7 p.m. Following Friday's concert, concerts will take place weekly on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. from June 12 – August 14.
The In the Park Concert Series is a free, fun and substance-free concert series. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant outdoor atmosphere and beautiful park setting while listening to performances from local bands playing a wide variety of music genres.
“It is wonderful to see families, friends and neighbors who dance, sing and laugh during concerts in Shain Park,” said Birmingham Parks and Recreation Manager Carrie Laird. “It’s a beloved summer tradition and we encourage everyone to bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show.”
