Individuals cut off at bar become belligerent

Two individuals who were “cut off” from the bar at Dick O'Dow's, 200 W. Maple Road in downtown Birmingham, around midnight on Saturday, June 18, were asked to leave the restaurant for causing a disturbance, and police were called.

Management at the restaurant reported that two people were stopped from ordering more drinks at the bar and were asked to leave because they were causing a disturbance at the establishment. Outside, the individuals were acting belligerent. Officers, who were called to the scene, reported that one of the individuals was uncooperative, was yelling obscenities at officers, and was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.

Police later administered a preliminary breath test, resulting in a blood alcohol content of over twice the legal limit.
