While a couple from Farmington Hills was visiting Birmingham on the afternoon of Saturday, August 30, several items were stolen from their car parked at Harmon and Lakeside.

The couple told Birmingham police that they were fishing nearby, recalling they had a strange conversation with a man who approached them asking questions about their bank and driver’s license. Later, they found out that the woman’s driver’s license, a credit card, about $60 cash, and two gift cards were taken from their car, which was left unlocked.

Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
