Items stolen from vehicle on Windemere Road

A larceny from auto report was filed with the Birmingham Police Department on Wednesday, January 11, after the vehicle's owner, living in the 2700 block of Windemere Road, noticed his car door open and several items missing.

The victim told officers he noticed his car door was ajar around 3: 30 a.m., but it remains unclear if the vehicle was unlocked at the time.

Birmingham police believe the incident to be tied to a string of similar thefts in the area, and an investigation is ongoing.
