Larceny from auto on Oakland Avenue

A Birmingham police officer observed a vehicle on Sunday, November 13, that appeared to have been rummaged through on Oakland Avenue, and the owner acknowledged it was unlocked at the time.


The officer contacted the vehicle owner in the 800 block of Oakland Avenue after observing the vehicle which appeared to have been gone through, who stated his vehicle was unlocked at the time of the incident.


A witness reported seeing an unknown subject open the victim’s vehicle around 7:20 a.m.

Birmingham police stated the incident is believed to be connected to other larcenies from autos that have occurred in the area. They are continuing to investigate the incident.
