Lawn equipment stolen while crews out working

Several pieces of lawn equipment were taken from a landscape trailer in the median of Telegraph Road near Deep Run Road in Bloomfield Township on Friday, June 14, while the lawn crews were mowing the medians.

According to Bloomfield Township police, the landscape crews were busy mowing the medians when three backpack blowers, two trimmers and two edgers were stolen out of their trailer. The crew believed that the theft occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m., because around that time they observed a U-Haul trailer running over the cones they had set up around their truck.

This case has been assigned to the Bloomfield Township Investigations division. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
