Lincoln Hills Golf Course opens Saturday, April 1

Those who live and work in Birmingham can get an early start on the golf season, as the city of Birmingham's municipal golf courses are prepping for opening, with Lincoln Hills Golf Course is scheduled to open on Saturday, April 1, 2022, and Springdale Golf Course Saturday, April 8, weather depending.

Both of Birmingham's municipal golf courses are rated as two of the top nine-hole golf courses in Oakland County, as they offer courses that are picturesque as well as challenging and fun for golfers of all ages.

As in previous seasons, Lincoln Hills Golf Course will continue to offer its Junior Golf program this summer, from June 12-August 4. Golfers ages six to 16 can learn the fundamentals of golf and improve their skills through a variety of instruction options. Online registration begins Saturday, May 6, 2023. Residents and members may register starting at 9 a.m. and will receive special pricing until 11 a.m. Registration will remain open online until classes are filled. Detailed information regarding the program is available at "bhamgov.org/juniorgolf.

Additionally, Lincoln Hills will host two events this spring to kick off the season. A “Welcome Back Members” golf event will take place on Sunday, April 23, with a shotgun start at 5 p.m., with dinner and awards to follow. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Friday, May 5, with the “Cinco de Mayo” golf event, starts at 5 p.m. For more information and to register, contact Lincoln Hills at 248.530.1670.

Adaptive golf carts are available at both courses.

Upon opening, reservations may be made online or by calling Lincoln Hills at (248) 530-1670 or Springdale at (248) 530-1660. More information is available at GolfBirmingham.org.
