Local man confronts woman in his vehicle

On Tuesday, July 9, a larceny from auto was reported around 11 a.m. at a business near Davis Street and Cummings Avenue in Birmingham.

Officers arrived and made contact with the 51-year-old male victim from Beverly Hills. The car’s owner stated an unknown female was in the passenger seat of his vehicle rifling through the center console. After taking change from the victim’s vehicle, the suspect was identified as a 59-year-old female from Detroit. She stated it was her money but she was placed under arrest by police.

An investigation is ongoing.
