Male spotted breaking into Birmingham home

Birmingham police were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of Greenwood around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, when a resident saw an unknown man attempting to break in through the back door.


The resident reported to officers he had seen what appeared to be an unknown male at the rear of his home, attempting to gain entry through the back door. He described the suspect as an unknown male who was wearing light pants and a dark shirt or jacket.


Officers checked the area for the suspicious individual, but were unable to locate him.


There were no signs of forced entry or damage to the doors or windows of the house.


Birmingham police report there were no additional witnesses and they are continuing to investigate.
