After leaving a bar in downtown Birmingham around 1 a.m. the morning of Sunday, April 26, a man was allegedly punched in the nose while sitting on a city bench.

The man reported the incident the next afternoon, reportedly calling Birmingham police to Corewell Health Troy campus, saying that an unknown man came up to him and his friend and started arguing with them.

When the victim stood up from the bench, the stranger reportedly punched him in the nose and ran.

Police reported there are no suspects currently, but an investigation is ongoing.
