A 53-year-old man has been arrested in Birmingham and charged with home invasion after a condo owner living on the 200 block of Harmon reported the attempt on Monday, April 21, at 2:30 a.m.

The condo owner told police that a man tried to open her door using the handle several times before leaving and coming pack with a stick he used to try and pry the door open. He eventually left after his unsuccessful attempts.

According to the police report, an officer later saw a man matching the description and detained him, eventually placing him under arrest for home invasion.
