Man arrested for breaking into township cars

A 37-year-old Detroit man was arrested on Friday, March 27, for suspicion of breaking into several vehicles in the 2800 block of Aspen Lane in Bloomfield Township, police said.

Bloomfield Township Police Lt. Paul Schwab said officers were dispatched about 4 a.m., after a witness in the area told police he saw a man trying to get into several parked vehicles. Officers searched the area and stopped a vehicle leaving the area. Schwab said the driver was dressed in dark clothing and covered in mud.

A search of the vehicle revealed several items stolen from vehicles that had been burglarized.

Antoine Ronnell Taylor, 37, of Detroit, was arrested in connection with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and driving while license was suspended. He was arraigned on Friday, March 27, before 52-1 District Court Judge David Law and held at Oakland County Jail on $10,000 bond.
