Man arrested for fighting, yelling at cars

Birmingham police were called to the intersection of W. Lincoln and Pleasant Avenue around 8:30 a.m. Friday, August 5, where they saw two men in an altercation in the middle of the road.


Officers were called to the scene on a report of a disoriented man. When they got to the area, they observed that two individuals, including one matching the subject's description from the call, in a fight in the roadway. The aggressor, a 31-year-old man from Holly, appeared to police to be disoriented and was asked to submit a drug and alcohol test, which he refused.


Witnesses reported he had been walking down the roadway yelling at people in vehicles.


The man was arrested and issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
