Man arrested for illegally selling magazines

On Monday, August 26, at p.m., officers were called to the Latham Street and Norfolk Road area in Birmingham where a man was illegally trying to sell magazine subscriptions.

Police reported that 28-year-old male from Tennessee was going door-to-door attempting to sell magazines. The suspect had had a previous encounter with Birmingham police and was aware that he is unable to solicit without a permit.

The suspect was placed under arrest for the violation of the local ordinance.
