Man arrested in Birmingham on warrant

A Detroit man was arrested in Birmingham on Friday, November 7, after an interaction with city police officers led to them discovering a warrant for his arrest out of the Lansing Police Department.


Per the police report, officers were alerted to two men walking in the road near Woodward Avenue and Oak Street, and when they arrived on scene the men asked for a ride to a nearby bus stop.


The warrant was found during their conversation and while he was being arrested, officers found narcotic paraphernalia and prescription bottles on him that were under a different person’s name.


Birmingham police report he was later transferred to the Lansing Police Department.
