Man assaulted at Birmingham Daxton Hotel

A Birmingham man received unspecified injuries on Sunday, October 10, when he was assaulted by another man at the Daxton Hotel, 300 S. Old Woodward, Birmingham, police said.


Officers responded about 8:26 p.m. to the Daxton Hotel for a fight that had occurred. Witnesses told police another man grabbed the victim, 41, by the throat and hit him in the face several times. The man continued to hit the victim after he fell to the ground, then fled the area.


Police identified the alleged assailant as a a 32-year-old Lake Orion man. They are continuing to search for the suspect.
