Man assaulted outside The Morrie restaurant

A 21-year-old male from Sterling Heights reported to Birmingham Police on Monday, October 3, that he was punched several times outside of The Morrie restaurant, 260 N. Old Woodward Avenue in Birmingham, by a suspect who then took off from the area.


The victim told police the assault took place on Sunday, September 25, and after the incident, he received medical treatment for his injuries.


Witnesses interviewed by officers reported seeing an incident on September 25, around the same time the victim reported.


Birmingham police state an investigation is ongoing.
