Man assaulted with restaurant drinking glass

Birmingham police officers were dispatched in the early hours of Sunday, August 18, to the 200 block of South Old Woodward where they found a bloody headed, 38-year-old Washington Township male victim sitting on a bench.

A witness said he saw a man strike the victim on the side of his head with a drinking glass at Zana just 30 minutes prior to the 2 a.m. report. The victim claimed to not know the suspect.

An investigation is ongoing.
