Man fears for life after receiving harassing calls
The owner of a Birmingham bar in the 100 block of S. Old Woodward in downtown Birmingham reported to police that he had been receiving harassing phone calls on his personal cell phone and had begun to fear for his life.
Officers took the report of phone harassment on Sunday, September 15, around noon. The victim, a 25-year-old West Bloomfield man who owns the bar, reported to officers that he had been receiving harassing phone calls on his personal cell phone after responding to an inquiry about a business issue using his personal cell phone. The person he spoke to then began sending him messages that the victim felt were uncomfortable and a threat to his life.
The victim said he and his establishment have had continual issues with the suspect, a 59-year-old Waterford man.
