A Dearborn man was accused of slapping the bouncer of a Birmingham bar around 1 a.m. the morning of Sunday, April 19, as well as assaulting a police officer.

Birmingham police reported that the fight took place outside a bar on the 100 block of Willits. The suspect was yelling at other patrons, and when two people tried to hold him back, one of them was allegedly slapped across the face by the man who also later assaulted an officer.

Birmingham police reported an investigation is ongoing, but the man had recently been arrested in Dearborn Heights for assault and battery.
