A subcontractor for a salt service company reportedly had a smoothie thrown at him on Sunday, January 11, near the area of Woodward and Wimbleton in Birmingham, by a Bloomfield Hills man who was mad at the contractor for getting salt on his car.

The subcontractor told officers that he was salting a parking lot when another driver honked his car horn at him. He said he got out of the truck and the suspect’s wife also got out of their car to yell at him for getting salt on the car.

The subcontractor alleged that later on the husband came back and threw a smoothie at him which led him to chase him around the parking lot. Reportedly, the suspect got back into his car and drove off before a physical altercation happened.

Birmingham police say an investigation is ongoing.
