Man unsuccessful in attempted home invasion

An unidentified man attempted to enter a Bloomfield Township home through the front door at the 2000 block of Bedford Street on Thursday, April 27.

He left moments after his unsuccessful attempt, but not before the incident was captured on the home’s security system cameras. Bloomfield Township police were dispatched to the home that evening, but came up with negative results after officers canvassed the area and a K9 tracking was conducted.

The front door was also processed for fingerprints by evidence technicians.

Bloomfield Township police are currently investigating the case. Anyone with information in regard to this case is encouraged to call the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
