Man waving steel pole near restaurant arrested

A few too many drinks led a man from Royal Oak being arrested from the 300 block of E. Maple Road in Birmingham on the night of Thursday, June 27, after he was reported for yelling vulgar language and waving a steel pole around an outdoor seating area of a nearby restaurant.

Birmingham police stated the man smelled strongly of intoxicants when they arrived, and he eventually was arrested and taken back to his residence. He was also given a citation for disturbing the peace.
