Maple to close in downtown Monday – Tuesday

In order to complete the final restoration work on the Maple Road Reconstruction Project, Maple Road between Chester and Woodward will be closed on Monday, May 17 and Tuesday, May 18 to vehicular traffic.


The city of Birmingham announced that Angelo Iafrate and PK Contracting will be in town those two days to complete final restoration work, pavement joint repairs, painting and sidewalk caulking. During this work, Maple Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. from W. Maple Road between Pierce and Chester, and between Old Woodward and Peabody. All work is subject to weather conditions.


Sidewalks will remain open to pedestrians for access to businesses.
