Men arrested for illegal cannabis delivery, sale

A Clinton Township man and an Eastpointe man were arrested together in Birmingham the afternoon of Friday, October 16, and charged with unlawful delivery/sale of marijuana.
Birmingham police reported that the two men were driving near Woodward and Oakland, and the officers noticed a strong marijuana smell. They checked the car’s license plate and found out that it had been canceled by the Secretary of State for fraudulent insurance, leading the officers to pull the car over.
Offices said they found large amounts of marijuana and paraphernalia consistent with marijuana sales inside the vehicle, including fake dispensary packaging. The Clinton Township man was arrested for the marijuana and also charged for improper vehicle registration. His passenger, the Eastpointe man, was found to have two arrest warrants out of Detroit and was also placed under arrest.
