Men trick woman, steal her purse at market

Police are investigating a purse snatching that occurred on the afternoon of Friday, March 3, at a Bloomfield Township produce market in the 6500 block of Telegraph.

Bloomfield Township police said the victim was in the front passenger seat of her vehicle about 1 p.m. at Nino Salvaggio International Market, 6592 Telegraph, when she was approached by an unknown man who told her the car she was in had a flat tire. Police said the victim got out and walked around the vehicle to inspect the tire when another man approached the vehicle and took her purse from the passenger seat.

Police said the men left the parking lot in a white Dodge Durango without a license plate attached.

The case is under investigation. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
