Music in the Park concerts begin in Shain Park

Summer has begun with the city of Birmingham's In the Park Concert Series in Shain Park with a full line up of bands to enjoy all season long.

The Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition Youth Action Board's Teen Summer Concert will kick off the series on Friday, June 10 ,at 7 p.m. Following this event, concerts will take place weekly on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. (unless noted) from June 15 – August 17.

The In the Park Concert Series is a free, fun and substance-free concert series. Visitors can enjoy the vibrant outdoor atmosphere and beautiful park setting while listening to performances from local bands playing a wide variety of music genres.

“We are thrilled for the return of the In the Park Summer Concert series in Shain Park this summer. We have an exciting line-up of bands this year including some returning crowd favorites and newcomers,” said Birmingham Director of Public Services Lauren Wood. “Wednesdays July 20 and August 17 will each feature an additional noon concert – the perfect backdrop for your lunch break.”
