Mystery around two stolen Kias in township

While investigating the case of a stolen Kia Sportage on Sunday, February 25, the Bloomfield Township police not only discovered broken glass around where the car had been taken the night before, but also a different Kia that had been stolen out of Grosse Pointe Woods, now located in the same parking lot.

The victim told police that she last saw her vehicle in the parking lot, located at 400 block of N. Foxhills Drive, the night before at 6 p.m. and observed that her vehicle was stolen at 7:20 a.m. the next day.

She had the vehicle’s keys when it was taken. It is unknown how the Kia stolen out of Grosse Pointe Woods ended up in Bloomfield Township.

The Bloomfield Township Investigations Unit is currently investigating, and ask anyone with information to call 248.433.7755.
