A site plan and special land use proposal for a new ambulatory surgical center, to be called Bloomfield Surgical Center, at 329 Enterprise Court, received unanimous approval from the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees on Monday, February 8.
Andrea Bibby, township deputy director of planning, building and ordinance, said Bloomfield Capital Group, LLC. was seeking to renovate an existing building and add an additional 6,720 square feet to the building to create an outpatient health care facility. The new 25,564-square foot facility would have a second floor addition to offer an ambulatory surgery center, pharmacy, medical clinic, conference rooms and private offices and suites. It would have overnight patients.
Bibby said the new health care center, north of Franklin Road and east of Telegraph, would have access from Enterprise Court. There will be 143 parking spaces, which is a surplus of the required 61 on-site parking spaces. Two entrances will feature awnings.
“It's a great use of the building,” said trustee Neal Barnett.
“We wish them continued success in Bloomfield,” said treasurer Brian Kepes.
