Nike clothing items taken from Dick’s location

Bloomfield Township police officers on Friday, March 6, responded to 2105 S Telegraph Road, Dick’s Sporting Goods, for a report of retail theft.


Employees stated that a Black male wearing dark clothing left the store without paying for merchandise and drove away. According to the cashier, police said, the male inquired about applying for a store credit card and began to fill out an application. The cashier asked to see the suspects identification when he reached over the counter, grabbed the bags of merchandise, and left the store without paying.


The male, described as approximately 20 to 30 years old with scruffy beard, stole multiple Nike clothing items totaling $429.99.


The case is currently being investigated by the Bloomfield Township Police Department,
