Bloomfield Township police on Tuesday, July 29, around 7 p.m. responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods, located at 2105 Telegraph Road, for a report of merchandise theft.

Store employees stated that a tall black male was in the shoe department and asked an associate to see two pairs of shoes. While the associate was in the back getting the shoes, the suspect took two pairs of Nike Air Force shoes that were already out, along with a pair of Nike shorts and left the store without paying.

The suspect was seen walking south in the plaza before he got into a white sedan and left the area, according, according to store employees. The shoes are valued at $114.99 each and the shorts are valued at $60.

This case was turned over to the Bloomfield Township Investigations Unit and is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
