Outstanding warrant arrest during traffic stop

A man from West Bloomfield was arrested by Birmingham police around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, and transferred to the Detroit Police Department after officers discovered he had a felony warrant.

Birmingham police reported that a patrol officer saw a vehicle making an improper turn on Woodward Avenue near Buckingham Road and stopped the driver. After talking with the suspect, they discovered the warrant out of Detroit.

The man allegedly also had a revoked out-of-state license.

The man was arrested, given a citation for an improper turn, and transferred to Detroit police, said the Birmingham Police Department.
