Over $2,500 worth of packages stolen from homes

Porch poachers had a busy day on Thursday, December 14, reportedly stealing just shy of $2,500 worth of packages delivered to homes on Chesterfield Avenue in Birmingham.


According to two police reports, a home on the 1000 block and another in the 700 block of Chesterfield Avenue both had packages stolen from porches, reporting the theft to Birmingham police around 7 a.m.


Witnesses claimed to see a man approach the victims' homes and take a package.


Birmingham police report an investigation is ongoing.
